Dear Soccer Player and Parents:
Twin City Youth Soccer Association (TCYSA)
wants you to join it for the 2008-09 season in one of our Academy,
Challenge or Classic Select divisions. With three distinct levels of
play, TCYSA provides an environment for each player to develop to his or
her maximum ability. Twin City is open to players from ages of 8 to 17.
All players -- new and returning -- must tryout for any of the select
programs in late May. Information on how to register for tryouts is
here. TCYSA is the premier
youth-soccer association for players in Forsyth County and
the surrounding areas. Our association provides training to
our athletes from professional coaches and trained parent
coaches. Players further benefit from sessions with the
coaching staff of Wake Forest University. These unique
resources allow us to offer the highest level of youth
coaching in the Forsyth County area. Each division forms
boys and girls teams. Academy includes the U9 and U10 ages;
Challenge begins at U10; and Classic begins at U11. The
Challenge and Classic divisions field teams up to the U18
age group. Participation in each division requires that
players commit for the year, work hard and excel. However,
the competition faced in each division is different. Academy
players form a pool from which teams are created each week
to compete against other Academy programs. Challenge teams
compete in the Piedmont Triad area, while Classic teams play
statewide. Click here
for a chart comparing the three divisions, their costs, time
commitments and resources. For all divisions of
TCYSA, the development of the player as a whole person is
our top goal. We encourage players to succeed at the highest
level their potential allows, whether in soccer or in
school, and to have the character and maturity to understand
the work necessary to attain and maintain those levels to
achieve success. We hope you will consider trying
out for TCYSA soccer this spring. Players who are interested in learning
more about Academy, Challenge
or Classic
soccer are strongly encouraged to contact TCYSA and attend the
TCYSA open house.
