When Twin City Youth Soccer and the Men’s and Women’s
Soccer Programs of
Wake Forest University decided to work together
on a showcase event, our goal was to create a special event that was
more than just another soccer tournament. We believe that we have
succeeded! Boys Weekend
Due to the 4+ inches of rain received between 4/3 and 4/5,
the Boys Weekend of the Southern Soccer Showcase was
cancelled. While we were all disappointed that the
outdoor games for the weekend were cancelled, 20 of the
participating teams remained in Winston Salem for a full day
of indoor soccer at the Winston Salem Indoor Soccerplex.
72 matches were held over a 12 hour period and while it
couldn't match playing outdoors, the boys seemed to leave
both happy and tired. Girls Weekend Saturday, April 12th:

About
BB&T Soccer Park - After
opening in the fall of 2006,
the BB&T
Soccer Park is quickly becoming known as one of best soccer
venues in the Southeast. In the spring of 2007, the
ACC Women’s Spring Soccer Tournament was held at BB&T with Wake,
UNC, Duke, Clemson and Virginia Tech in attendance. Upcoming events
at the BB&T Soccer Park include an ODP Sub-regional boys weekend
(Region III) and the Region E qualifying tournament for US Club
Soccer’s National Cup VII. |

| Entry Fee: |
$650 for
All Age Groups (minimum of 3 games). Payment can be made by
Credit Card, Check,
or Money order and must be received before your team will be
considered for acceptance. Payments should be made out to TCYSA and sent to the address below:

Team Acceptance will be ongoing throughout the process; so apply
early to insure your team will be considered. Once 8 teams have
been accepted into an age group, additional team applications will
be placed on a waiting list. |

Team
Check-in for the boys weekend will be held Friday 4/4/2008 from 6:00
to 9:00 at Spry Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University in
conjunction with the Wake Forest v UNC match. Check-in for the
girls weekend will be held Friday 4/11/2008 at Dicks
Sporting Goods at Hanes Mall on Friday night from 6:00 to
9:00. Field check-ins are
available, but only if arrangements are made with the Tournament
Directors in advance. Teams will need to present the following
documents; all documents must be for 2007/2008 season: USYSA Teams · USYSA/State Certified Match Rosters (4 Copies – one with original stamp) · USYSA/State Certified Laminated Player Cards for All Players. · USYSA/State Notarized Medical Release Forms for All Players. · USYSA/State Approved Guest Player Roster. · State Approved Permission to Travel Forms US Club Soccer Teams · Official US Club Soccer Match Rosters (4 Copies – one with original stamp) · Official US Club Soccer Laminated Player Cards for All Players. · Notarized 2008 Southern Soccer Showcase Medical Release Forms for All Players. · Official US Club Soccer Loan Player Form. · Awards: o All players and coaches will receive a gift from the WilcoHess Southern Soccer Showcase. o All Division Champions will receive a Champions Medal, a Team Champions Award and a Champions T-Shirt.

All
Division Runner Ups will receive a Finalists Medal and a Team
Finalist Award.

Great Getaways have secured hotel rooms in Winston Salem for our
event; please follow this link to list of hotels with rooms
available and information on booking your rooms. Please note, the
High Point International Furniture Market is also during the 1st
two weeks of April, so hotel rooms will be at a premium. If you
have any issues finding rooms or need additional travel assistance,
