TWINS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Twins Development Program is designed for young soccer players ages 5-11. The goal of the program is to introduce soccer in a fun way and to learn the fundamental skills through participation and discovery.

The goals of the program include:
- Promoting fitness while providing an outlet for physical energy
- Developing physical skills and basic game tactics
- Teaching cooperation, responsibility and commitment
- Instilling respect for authority while building character through discipline
- Instilling a desire to succeed while preparing players for successes and failures
- Providing a fun and enriching experience

  

Registration for the fall, 2008 season will begin around Aug. 1.  Please check back.

General Information
This TDP program takes place one night a week on Fridays with no Saturday games. All participants in our development program are placed into age groups rather than teams so that the emphasis can be placed on the development of the individual players rather then the development of a team. If you have a child you think would enjoy improving his or her soccer skills while at the same time having fun doing it, then we encourage you to come out and join us on Friday nights!
The program is supervised by our Directors of Coaching and is staffed by professional coaches from TCYSA .  Players will benefit from the experience of these coaches. Seven sessions are scheduled on Friday evenings beginning in September and again in March.

Players will be placed in age groups based on their birth date:

U05 8/1/03 - 7/31/04
U06 8/1/02 - 7/31/03
U07 8/1/01 - 7/31/02
U08 8/1/00 - 7/31/01
U09 8/1/99 - 7/31/00
U10/11 8/1/98 - 7/31/97

Each player will be given a TDP t-shirt. Parents will need to provide soccer shoes and shin guards.
Each player  must also bring a ball (size 3 for ages 5 to 7; size 4 for ages 8 to 9) and water or sports drink.

Online registration is closed. 

Once age groups are full, TCYSA will place players on a waiting list and contact families on a first-come, first-served basis as places become available.

Payment

The fee per player is $75. Payment may be made by credit card through the registration web site, or by check, made payable to TCYSA Twins Development Program, 7620 Phoenix Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106. Payment must be received by March 5, or the player’s registration will be canceled.

Inclement Weather Information
TCYSA does not take canceling sessions lightly but its primary concern is player safety. If severe weather threatens, or the fields are soggy and create dangerous field play, the TCYSA staff will cancel. Because of scheduling limitations, TCYSA will be able to conduct only one make-up session at Paisley. No other make-up sessions will be provided.
