Childress Selected to Represent
Region III Team
Samantha Childress, a forward for the 93 Lady Twins
White team, has been selected to participate with the
1994 Region III Team. Samantha will be participating in
the Thanksgiving Event in Florida.

TCYSA Proposes
Changes in Bylaws
As required
by TCYSA, a representative from each Challenge and
Classic team will be asked to vote on revisions to its
bylaws at its organization meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday,
Sept. 15. If approved, the proposed changes would allow
the club to increase the number of directors from a
maximum of 10 to 20. Each director’s term also will
lengthen from 1 to 3 years, and directors’ terms will
be staggered to improve transition and succession within
the board. Two-thirds
of the membership -- all Challenge coaches and Classic
Managers -- must vote on these changes. If a Challenge
coach or Classic manager cannot attend the meeting, the
respective Challenge manager or Classic Treasurer may
serve as the team’s proxy. If a neither representative
is available to attend the meeting, the team
representative may vote by e-mail proxy. For the full

3rd Annual TCYSA “Golf for Kicks” Tournament
TCYSA invites you to Salem Glen Country Club for a
day of great fun, friends and golf. Proceeds of the
Tournament will help fund the TCYSA “Financial Aid”
program providing substantial support for families who
have difficulty affording the soccer experience and
enabling young athletes to enjoy and develop their

The TCYSA staff has moved into the
new offices at BB&T. Hours will be 9-5
Mon.-Thurs. and 9-3 on Fridays. The new phone number is

Clemmons, NC 27012. |

Concessions Opens During Training
Starting Aug. 25, Kernel Kustard will be open from
5-8 serving concessions, including their standard fare
of popcorn, kustard, hot and cold drinks, and hot dogs,
plus every night they will have a Featured Sandwich. |
